Avanida De La Playa
La Jolla
For this week’s paddle, it was suggested by Jenny that we go to a La Jolla. The conditions are looking good for this, so I think it’s a great idea. The Scripps Pier forecast is for 2 to 3 foot waves at 12 seconds. That means something like half of that at the boat launch area. Wind at 6 to 9 mph. It’s going to be a cloudy morning with the sun coming out later. Temperature will be near 60 F.
Let’s go north this time and head up toward Black’s Beach and Torrey Pines.
Drop your kayak off on the beach at the end of Avenida de la Playa around 8:30am. Then find a parking spot, and we’ll prepare to launch around 9:00.
